Kerry

Pilates

Kerry feels passionately that exercise is important for our mind and bodies helping us feel happier and healthier. She thinks that even if you are not a competitive exerciser, exercise is important. Pilates is one of those exercise methods that she feels can benefit everyone of us. She demonstrates a variety of levels so beginners feel comfortable and regulars are given new challenges with the band, on their strength and on their stability.

Jen

Yoga

“I want to teach and train others in what I have found to be the greatest gift. I want to help others with their health and wellbeing whether that be physically or mentally. I am walking proof that it may not be for you to begin with but keep going and the most amazing things will begin to happen. Better moods, patience, aches and pains will start to deteriorate, you will feel the best you have ever felt and most importantly you will learn how to control your mental state. Join me on this Journey, I promise you, it will be worth it.”

Sarah

Yoga

Sarah began practising yoga regularly during her time at University but was first introduced to the practice by her mother who attended local classes in their village hall. She combined her love of travel with yoga and completed her teacher training in 2016 in Goa, India. Since then she has enjoyed introducing the benefits of yoga to new groups of people and has completed training in the more restorative form of yin yoga. Sarah is passionate about the fact that yoga is for everybody, encouraging everyone to try the practice regardless of size, age, colour or gender. She wants to inspire people to celebrate their bodies and find their “edge” in their yoga practice, all in a safe and fun way!

Claire

Yoga

Claire teaches a mixture of disciplines including vinyasa flow, yin yang, yoga nidra, and hoop dance. She began sharing her passion for mindful movement whilst completing her PhD in Psychology at the University of Glasgow and subsequently completed her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in India. Her fascination with the human mind goes hand-in-hand with her love of yoga and hula hooping; two forms of movement meditation that strengthen the mind-body connection through creative expression and present-moment awareness. Claire weaves a combination of ancient wisdom and modern scientific insights into the human psyche through her teachings. She is passionate about helping her students develop their sense of intuition by quieting the mind during yoga and meditation. Warm and inclusive in her approach, Claire holds space for people to connect, breathe, move freely, laugh, and heal. She strongly believes that empowered movement teaches us to love the shell we’re in.

Cheree

Dance

Cherees love for dance has always been her passion since being a little girl. She left school and went straight to college and studied professional dance where she also trained with visual statement performing arts from the age of 9 until her adult life. Cheree has performed in many different roles such as a Vegas showgirl, Disney Princess and most recently the Ariana Grande tribute and she is now an active dancer as part of the Scottish Rockettes dance team! She loves to see people light up while dancing and letting go of all their insecurities and worries. Dance is her escape and she wants to share that with everyone in her class. Her main goal is to provide a safe space where people feel supported and can really let themselves be free!

Lorraine

Yoga

After coming into contact with her first yoga experience, Lorraine felt like her world had changed for the better. It was the beginning of a new journey, learning to respect the spiritual aspect of her well being as well as the physical. Lorraine started to practice yoga 2-3 times a week noticing how it calmed her mind, gave focus and made her appreciate the smaller things, while strengthening her body and improving flexibility.

Whilst travelling the world, a chance encounter with a fellow backpacker led Lorraine to 200 hour teacher training in Rishikesh, India in January 2015. Lorraine’s time in India and the 200 hour YTT changed her in ways she could never have imagined. Lorraine describes the benefits of a daily asana and meditation practice has incredible, improving both her physical and mental wellbeing. This new outlook on life also gave her the confidence to leave a long career in corporate finance.

In June 2016, following intense study at City of Glasgow College, Lorraine gained an HNC in Complementary Therapies. Qualifications awarded are Swedish Massage, Aromatherapy Massage, Indian Head Massage, Reflexology and Stress Management. Lorraine has since enhanced her skills, successfully completing courses in Deep Tissue and Pregnancy Massage.

Lorraine believes that the combination of Yoga and Holistic Therapies have many health benefits that are essential for self care of the body, mind and spirit.

In April 2017 Lorraine went on to complete 50 Hours of Yin Yoga teacher training with Sarah Lo, who has been endorsed by Sarah Powers.

Lorraine’s yoga classes are accessible to everyone, regardless of their age, ability or background. Turn up, roll out a mat, connect with your breath and have fun.
